Desperate to get out and see the ocean, my family and I went on a very quick beach trip to Delaware over the summer. I always wish I lived closer to the beach, and fantasize about living there — it’s so calming for me. We were only there for about 24 hours, but it was so nice to get out of the house, walk along the beach for a little while, and read in the sun with a breeze. Shot on Kodak Ektar 100, trying it for the first time.
As soon as we arrived, we went to the beach for the afternoon, choosing one of our usual spots, Fenwick Island State Park. It started raining and we ended up at Rehoboth for a walk, where it was far more crowded than Fenwick was and for my comfort level. We only walked along the beach — my mask stayed on in the busiest area out of anxiety — and cleared out, though in the evening we came back to grab food on the boardwalk and spend time on the empty beach. Hoping to avoid crowds, we returned to Fenwick, which had a reduced capacity limit, the next day before heading home.
